Its now 3.50am and im up as im in agony.The op that i was due to go for on Monday has been cancelled until the 12th of April.
Last Monday I had a Gynae appointment and my pre-op.The Gynae explained that i am going to have the Lletz procedure as well as part of the lip at the entrance of the Cervix removed.He explained that this could be why i am bleeding constantly.I must admit that the Gynae explained everything in detail so that i understood what was being done to me.He also gave me a prescription to get the Mirena and they will insert it while im im theatre.
On Tuesday afternoon,I received a call from the Gynae informing me that my op had been cancelled due to an outbreak of the vomiting bug in the hosp.I tols him that i wasnt very happy with this.He gave me his bleep number and said that if i was bad to go to A&E and giv dem his bleep number and that he would admit me and do the op while im an in patient,my response was as follows ''I have just spent €120 on the Mirena and now you want me to spend another €100 to go to A&E to be left there for 8-10 hours waiting for them to bleep you and then i will be another 12 hours on a trolley in A&E before i get a bed in a ward,FORGET IT.I have been bleeding constantly since December so im sure another 6 weeks wont matter''I honestly dont know why i pay health insurance at this stage.
I just dont know what to do anymore,im in agony and cant lie still.Oh why is the health system in this country such a joke???????????????????
